Stay Out of the Danger Zone!

When you're riding near cars, trucks, or buses, always assume they can’t see you unless you make eye contact with the driver.

Blind spots = No-go zones!

Big vehicles have huge blind spots—places where you’re invisible to the driver. These spots are usually:

  • Right next to the front doors

  • Directly behind them

  • Way too close in front of them

If you can’t see the driver’s face in their mirror, they can’t see you—and they might turn or change lanes right into you.

How to Stay Safe:

  • Stay either ahead of them or far enough back where they can see you.

  • Make eye contact before you cross in front of a truck or bus.

  • Never assume a driver sees you, even if they’re signaling.

  • Stay out of the **“squeeze zone” between a truck and the curb—don’t risk getting boxed in.

Remember, big vehicles turn wide and stop slow.

Stay clear, stay visible, and you’ll stay safe!
